After the end of IPL, the police has registered an FIR against Indian cricketer and Punjab Kings player Shashank Singh. It is alleged that Shashank had assaulted and abused cooking staff member Vipendra Singh. Police have registered FIR in the matter. A case has been registered against 3 people on various charges including assault.

A criminal case has been registered against IPL player Shashank Singh, his father and retired IPS officer Shailesh Singh and the driver of the family in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This case has been registered on the complaint of Vipendra Singh Tomar (31), a cook working in his house. Vipendra, a resident of Rewa, has alleged that he was beaten, abused and forcibly kept hostage. Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered at Ratibad police station on Monday. Gave assurance of giving government job

Cook Vipendra Singh said in his complaint that he was brought from Rewa to Bhopal through an acquaintance. He says that he was promised a job of Rs 15,000 per month, free accommodation and food facilities in the bungalow of the former IPS officer in Neelbad. Besides, assurance was also given of help in getting a government job in future.

The complainant alleges that within a few hours of starting work, he was subjected to mental pressure and abuses. He says that the matter worsened after a complaint was made regarding the quality of food.

Phone seized on talk of leaving job

The complainant said in his report that when I saw the abusive environment and expressed my desire to leave the job and return home, he (Shashank) became angry. The cook further alleged that the accused forcibly confiscated her mobile phone to prevent her from contacting anyone and she was pressurized to continue working against her wishes.

beating by forcibly opening the door

According to the complainant, to protect himself he locked himself in the room. However, the father-son duo, along with their driver, allegedly opened the door and brutally attacked him. The medical examination conducted by the police found obvious injury marks on the face and body of the victim.

Case registered under these sections

Based on the formal complaint and confirmed medical reports, the Ratibad police filed a First Information Report (FIR). The case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS): Section 296 (B) obscene acts and abusing in public; Section 115(2) voluntarily causing hurt/assault and Section 3(5) joint criminal liability (acts done by multiple persons with common intention).
