Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly and expelled Trinamool Congress leader Ritabrata Banerjee on Friday expressed confidence that support for the rebel TMC faction led by him will continue to grow. Amidst the ongoing internal crisis in Mamata Banerjee’s party, Ritabrata Banerjee claimed that he has the support of a large number of TMC MLAs in the assembly.
Ritabrata Banerjee said that this number will increase further. He has not told which MLAs are in contact with him. Because of his decision, the already weak Mamata Banerjee’s party has become even weaker. The anger of Trinamool Congress MLAs against party general secretary Abhishek Banerjee is increasing.

I just want to say one thing, our figures will continue to increase. I am absolutely sure. There is no question of the figures decreasing. Wait and see. As far as the number of MLAs is concerned, it will continue to increase. I have not spoken to any MP in the last one week.
What does Ritabrata Banerjee want from Subhendu Adhikari?
Appealed to Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari to take action against BJP leader Priyanka Tibrewal. Priyanka Tibrewal is accused of protesting outside the house of rebel TMC leader Sandipan Saha.

‘Priyanka Tibrewal, who is the defeated BJP candidate from Entali seat, went to protest in front of Sandipan Saha’s house. it’s so embarrassing. We have registered a case against this incident at New Market Police Station. We appeal to Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari to never support such work and take action against it.

Ritabrata Banerjee said, ‘If there was anger among the public, was Priyanka also a part of the public? What were they doing there? Sandipan Saha’s house does not fall in Entali assembly constituency, but in Chau Rangi area. BJP did this by gathering people from outside.

Ritabrata Banerjee has become the leader of the opposition after rebelling against Mamata Banerjee. He has created a new political crisis in West Bengal. Party chief Mamata Banerjee herself has accepted defeat from her Bhawanipur seat. TMC has lost power after 15 years and BJP has come to power for the first time by winning in the state. A decision of Ritabrata Banerjee has increased his problems.
