"First the final deal, then you will get billions of dollars!" President Donald Trump’s biggest announcement regarding Iran
Amidst the ongoing fierce diplomatic and military tension between Washington and Tehran, US President Donald Trump has made a very strict and big strategic announcement regarding Iran. President Trump has made it clear to the whole world that America will not make any kind of partial, incomplete or temporary deal with Iran. Giving a bluntly worded ultimatum, he said that unless a final and comprehensive nuclear deal is reached with Iran, Tehran’s frozen assets worth billions of dollars will not be released nor will there be any relaxation in the stringent economic sanctions imposed on it. It is clear from Trump’s stance that America is now working on a strategy to put all-round pressure on Iran.
Trump opened his cards in ‘Meet the Press’ interview, said this about Lebanon
US President Donald Trump said these important things during a special and frank interview given in ‘NBC News’ famous talk show ‘Meet the Press’. When Trump was asked the question whether Iran could be given relief before the final agreement by giving it access to its frozen assets or some relaxation in sanctions? So Trump said in clear words, ‘All this will happen later… Yes, if they behave well and do the right thing then we will definitely move forward.’ During this, Trump made another big diplomatic revelation and said that he is not putting any pressure on Lebanon to include it in any kind of short-term agreement with Tehran. He said that even though Lebanon would like to see it, the US administration is not insisting on it.
Condition to destroy uranium, if not friendship then be prepared for ‘military action’
President Trump put forward America’s very strict conditions to the world for any possible deal in the future. He indicated that the upcoming agreement would not only guarantee that Iran would be permanently prevented from developing nuclear weapons, but the US and Iran would work together to remove and completely destroy Tehran’s highly enriched uranium. Trump said, ‘If we make this agreement that we are friendly now, then we will all move together. This will be our tool. We will take out and destroy that uranium… whether it is inside their premises or it is taken out. Along with this, he warned in a very strong tone that if this peace talks fail, then America is fully prepared to take action ‘militarily very strictly’.
Iran rejected Trump’s claims, said- no promise of uranium transfer
On the other hand, Iran has completely rejected these claims and conditions of US President Donald Trump and called them completely imaginary. Ismail Bagai, the official spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, clarified in a press conference that no such agreement has been reached with the US to transfer its enriched uranium to any other place outside the country, nor was any such proposal ever put on the current negotiating table. It is noteworthy that on February 28, the American and Israeli Air Forces had carried out massive air strikes on several Iranian targets, after which there is an atmosphere of great uncertainty and tension at the global level regarding the current status and security of Iran’s nuclear bases.
IAEA report and violations of the 2015 nuclear deal
If we look at the data of the recent report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), before these attacks, Iran had a large reserve of uranium enriched up to 60 percent by June 2025, about 440 kg. This quantity is many times more than the legal limit set by the historic Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) in 2015. However, at present, behind the scenes talks are going on between the diplomats of the two countries, but this recent and aggressive statement of Donald Trump has made it clear that Washington is in no mood to bow down at any cost and this political war in the Middle East may take a more aggressive form in the coming days.
