Former and current CM seen in the same frame, picture of Kejriwal-Rekha Gupta in discussion on the death of Atishi’s father

New Delhi: A picture has come to light in New Delhi, which has attracted a lot of attention in political circles. After the death of Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Atishi’s father, former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and current Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were seen in the same frame during the funeral of her father.

While differences and allegations and counter-allegations are often seen in politics, this picture gives a different message. In this hour of grief, all the leaders were seen united, rising above political boundaries, which has further intensified the discussion among the people.

The picture became the center of discussion

Many big leaders attended the funeral organized after the death of Atishi’s father Vijay Singh. Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and other leaders were present from the Aam Aadmi Party side, while Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also reached the occasion.

During this time, a moment came when Rekha Gupta and Arvind Kejriwal were seen in the same frame. This scene was surprising for the people, but the atmosphere was of mourning and the presence of the two leaders gave a positive message.

Presence of leaders at the funeral

In the picture released by PTI, Atishi and her family were seen in the front, while Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and other leaders were standing behind. During this time, Arvind Kejriwal was also seen present there with his wife Sunita Kejriwal.

Although Kejriwal and Atishi were seen together in a video, there was no conversation between the two during that time.

Message of condolence amid political differences

The relationship between Arvind Kejriwal and Rekha Gupta in Delhi politics is not hidden from anyone. After the elections, Rekha Gupta had talked about investigating Kejriwal’s old residence as soon as she assumed the post of Chief Minister, whereas in the Assembly too, heated debates were seen on many issues.

On the other hand, Kejriwal has also been raising questions on the policies of the BJP government many times. In such a situation, such a picture is being seen as a positive glimpse of democracy.

Kejriwal expressed grief

On the demise of Atishi’s father, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Atishi’s father was suffering from serious illnesses for the last 3-4 months. He passed away yesterday. A large number of people gathered here for his last rites. He was a professor at Delhi University (DU) and was extremely popular among teachers and students during his time. He was known as a well-known educationist. Everyone is deeply saddened by his demise. May his soul rest in peace.”
