Former Union Minister’s Daughter Slaps SBI Branch Manager [Watch]
Chennai: An FIR has been registered against former Union Minister MK Alagiri’s daughter Kayalvizhi for allegedly slapping a bank manager.
Police booked Kayalvizhi following a complaint by a senior State Bank of India (SBI) official alleging that the manager of the bank’s NRI branch in Adyar was threatened and assaulted by the owner of the building which houses the branch.
The incident was captured on CCTV, footage of which has gone viral. It shows Kayalvizhi sitting with a man, arguing with the bank manager. Suddenly, Kayalvizhi is seen getting up and slapping the bank manager.

According to the complaint, filed by a senior SBI official on July 21, the bank’s NRI branch manager Harsheen Singh had asked the building owner, Kayalvizhi, about the need to rectify a faulty lift after her representative allegedly failed to respond to repeated requests.
Kayalvizhi did not like the manager’s approach, and following an argument, she slapped him.
Police investigation is underway.
Alagiri, the second son of former Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi and his second wife Dayalu Ammal, was Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers from 28th May 2009 to 20th March 2013. Alagiri was head of DMK’s south zone before he fell out of favour in 2014, and M K Stalin came into prominence.
