Found love on Facebook at 60; Suhasini Mule got married in just 75 days, the unique love story of the actress is in discussion

Bollywood is home to many actresses, some of them are single, while some are married at a much older age. Suhasini Mule of ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Jodha Akbar’ fame is one such actress who found her life partner at the age of 60, that too on Facebook. Not only that, they got married in just 75 days.

In an interview with ‘Suhana Safar’, Suhasini spoke candidly about her marriage. She said, “I got married for the first time at the age of 60. I didn’t meet my life partner till then. My husband is a very famous scientist. I don’t know anything when he talks about science, but he is a very good person.”

He shared the story of his meeting with his partner Atul Gurtu and said that it seemed too good to be true. Speaking on actress Sulekha Talwalkar’s YouTube channel, Suhasini revealed that she joined Facebook after one of her co-stars suggested that she might get work opportunities. The actress said that while browsing through Facebook one day, she came across a profile that caught her eye.

Talking about the love story in her life, Suhasini said, “I saw Atul’s profile and thought, ‘Do physicists use Facebook?'” She added, “He was working on the Large Hadron Collider. Since I have always been interested in science, I sent him a message and asked, ‘What is the LHC?’ His answer started a conversation that changed both of our lives. During the email, Atul told her that he was looking for a life partner.”

Recounting his experience, he said, “He never made a direct demand, but it was hinted at. When I realized that he was looking for someone, I smiled to myself. I thought, ‘If I haven’t found the right person for me in 60 years, how will he suddenly find me now?'”

However, even at this stage she was confused and did not know what to do, so she consulted a friend. The actress said, “She said options become limited at this age. Don’t close the door before it opens. If you don’t like it, you can always move on. There’s nothing wrong with trying.”

Suhasini then decided to go ahead and said, “When Atul asked for my number, I told him, ‘Good girls don’t give their phone number to strangers.’” She was also afraid of fake profiles on the Internet.
