Fourth railway line will be laid here in UP, good news for these districts

Lucknow. A big relief news has emerged for the railway passengers of Uttar Pradesh. Preparations for laying the fourth railway line on the Barabanki-Gorakhpur railway section, which is one of the busiest routes of the North-Eastern Railway, have now intensified. Railways has completed the necessary survey work for this and work on the project is expected to start soon.

Railway officials believe that after the completion of this project, the movement of trains will be more smooth and passengers will be able to get better rail services. At present the preliminary survey work for laying the fourth line has been completed. Now the construction work will be started after completing further administrative and technical processes.

For the first time, a four-line railway route will be built.

At present, the pressure of trains on this important railway section is continuously increasing. In view of this, Railways is now moving ahead with the plan of laying the fourth line along with the already ongoing construction work of the third line. The construction work of the third line from Burhwal to Gonda Kachehri is going on. After this, the fourth line will also be developed on the same route. This will be the first time that four railway lines will be available on this section.

Which districts will get the benefit?

Commuters from Barabanki, Gonda, Bahraich area and people of Gorakhpur division will directly benefit from this project. Apart from this, lakhs of railway passengers of Purvanchal and Terai region are also likely to get the benefit of better connectivity. By increasing the capacity of railways, long distance trains as well as goods trains will be operated in a more organized manner.

Operating more than 100 trains daily

Barabanki-Gorakhpur railway section is counted among the most important and busy routes of North Eastern Railway. At present, more than 100 trains operate daily on this route. In view of the increasing number of passengers and the needs of goods transportation, the Railways felt the need for additional lines. After the construction of the fourth line, the traffic pressure can reduce to a great extent.

Punctuality of trains will improve

According to railway experts, after the completion of the new line, the time taken for crossing and overtaking of trains will be reduced. This is expected to reduce the delay in trains. Also, it will be easier to manage the operations of freight trains and passenger trains separately, which will increase the efficiency of the entire network.
