French President Macron praised PM Modi fiercely, said – India is a country of innovation

French President Emmanuel Macron On PM Modi: During the ‘India Innovates’ program organized in Nice city of France, President Emmanuel Macron praised India’s innovation potential and technological progress. He described India as a leading country of innovation and technological development. Macron praised India-France cooperation in areas such as ‘Make in India’, artificial intelligence, climate change and nuclear energy. Both the leaders emphasized on further strengthening the technical and economic partnership.

In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that today India is among those countries in the world which are giving new direction to global development through new thinking, new technology and innovative solutions.

India has emerged as a center of innovation

President Emmanuel Macron said that India has emerged as not just a big market but also a center of innovation. Praising the ambitious ‘Make in India’ initiative of the Government of India, he said that France has been a long-time partner of this campaign and the industrial partnership between the two countries is continuously strengthening.

The French President has described the cooperation between India and France as important, especially in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and combating climate change. He said that both the countries are working on developing such technologies which can provide solutions to future challenges.

What is Bharat Innovates Event?

This is a special event of the Government of India. Its objective is to bring new and big thinking companies of India, which work on new technology, in front of the world. Big startup companies and investors from India, France and other countries participated in this event. PM Modi and President Macron together inaugurated this event.

Discussion on nuclear energy sector in the program

Nuclear energy sector was also a major topic of discussion in the program. Macron said that India and France are exploring possibilities of cooperation in modern nuclear technologies like ‘Small Modular Reactor’. This technology is considered important for clean and sustainable energy production.
