Breathtaking final match

From the very beginning of the final match, the Indians put pressure on the Korean team. Taking advantage of Korea’s poor shots in the first set, India took the lead early on. Later, through review, Kumkum’s score changed from 9 to 10, due to which India won the first set 37-36 and took a 2-0 lead. The match in the second set was also equal, but Army archer Dheeraj scored a perfect 10 on the last arrow to put India ahead 4-0.

This is how gold was confirmed in the last set

In the third and last set, the South Korean team tried to make a strong comeback with two perfect 10s and gave a tough fight to India. Korea scored a big total of 39. Now to win, India had to hit its last two arrows accurately without any mistake. Under such huge pressure, first Kumkum scored a perfect 10, and then Dheeraj’s shot also got 10 marks in the review. With this, the third set was tied at 39-39 and India won the gold medal by winning the match with a total score of 5-1.
