On October 9, a man had beaten his friend to death in Mothagaon area of Dombivali, Maharashtra. Accused Prabhu Karakade went to Thane Police after 20 days and confessed to his crime. The name of the deceased is Vishal Kadam.
Vishal and Prabhu were close friends. One night both of them were drinking alcohol together. During this time there was a minor argument between the two. It is alleged that Prabhu beat Vishal with kicks and punches so much that he died.

Dead body thrown with the help of landlord
Prabhu became nervous after the murder. He sought help from his landlord Sandesh Mhatre. Both of them filled Vishal's body in a sack and took it to a deserted place near a creek at night and dumped it.
Prabhu had earlier planned to leave the city and run away. He thought he had escaped but could not sleep for 20 nights after the murder. It is alleged that the friend appeared to him again and again in his dreams. Frustrated, he approached the police in remorse and surrendered.

He himself went and got the landlord also arrested.
The police arrested Prabhu. The landlord was also arrested for helping in disposing of the dead body and hiding the evidence. Both were presented in Kalyan Court. The court has sent him to police custody for four days. The police are now investigating the exact reason for the murder. The role of the landlord is also being investigated.
