President Draupadi Murmu addressed the nation on Friday on the eve of the 80th Independence Day. In his address to the nation, the President said that the government is taking comprehensive steps to reform the examination system. The objective of these reforms is to curb the use of unfair means and make the examination system reliable and transparent. This statement of the President has come after the students and Gen-Ji movement across the country. The students had raised their voice against rigging in the examinations.
In his address, President Draupadi Murmu said that just as the government and society remain united to ensure national security, similarly everyone should make united and concerted efforts for the present and future security of the students. He said, 'Public examinations open doors of opportunities for students. Therefore, the government is taking extensive steps to improve these examinations. The objective of these reforms is to completely curb the use of unfair means in public examinations, to make the examination system more transparent and safe and trustworthy for the youth.

Sports is an important means of nation building
President Murmu said that the physical and mental health of the youth is the foundation of the future of the country. It is the collective responsibility of families and society to inspire the youth. He also said that the youth are increasingly adopting the culture of job creation rather than job search. The President also mentioned Khelo India and said that sports is an important means of youth development and nation-building.
Facilitators of terrorism will have to face consequences
In his address, President Murmu mentioned Operation Sindoor. Praised the extraordinary courage of the armed forces. He said 'Operation Sindoor' demonstrated the country's ability to conduct counter-terrorism operations with precision. Gave a strong message that wherever terrorists and their supporters are hiding, they will have to face consequences. The President appreciated the decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty and called it a step taken in the interest of the country and farmers. He also told that during the Swadeshi movement, Vande Mataram had become the song of the people.

India becoming Naxal free is a big achievement
The President further said, 'Naxalism remained a serious challenge for the country for decades. Making India Naxal-free is a big achievement. The areas which were once affected by Naxalism, today there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm. The President laid greater emphasis on timely justice and said that every citizen, especially the people from the deprived sections, should get justice on the basis of equality, with respect and in time.
