Also said that the companies which have received notices include Healthy Master, Nuherbs True Vitamin, Plant B, The Health Factory, Truvi, Healthy Choice, Emami’s Healthy & Tasty and Health Aid. Besides, notices have also been sent to Organic Wisdom, Shine Organic, Two Brothers Organic Farms, Storia, World of Organic and Iota Water.
Instructions given to strictly follow the rules
FSSAI has said that food business operators have been directed to strictly follow the prescribed rules related to labeling and display to avoid misleading the customers. According to the regulator, the trade names used by the above brands are likely to mislead consumers; They feel that these names misrepresent the nature or health benefits of their products.
Questions raised on the names of products
FSSAI has raised questions on the names of the products of Healthy Master, The Health Factory, Healthy Choice, Emami’s Healthy and Tasty and Health Aid. They say that such trade names appear to be in violation of applicable rules. Regulators have also raised concerns over TruVe’s “Healthy Mix” chips. They say the use of the word “healthy” can be misleading because there are other ingredients in the product that don’t support the claim.
In the case of Neuherbs True Vitamin, FSSAI said the term “true vitamin” is neither defined nor recognized under the existing rules. This may create misunderstanding in the minds of customers regarding the features of the product.
Approval not taken for vegan food product

However, FSSAI found that the company had not taken prior approval for the vegan food product nor did it have the required vegan food endorsement in its license.
