The project is expected to support Vietnam’s digital infrastructure development and Hanoi’s goal of becoming a regional technology and innovation hub.

Developed in collaboration with OTECH, the technology services and digital transformation arm of Omantel Group in Oman, G-Campus is planned as a digital infrastructure platform supporting artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and other next-generation technologies.

With a total investment of more than VND7.575 trillion (nearly US$300 million), the project will occupy over 38,000 square meters at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.

The campus will comprise four facilities. Two buildings will focus on research and development in AI, big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), high-performance computing (HPC), and cybersecurity.

The remaining facilities will house a Tier III AI-ready data center designed for AI training, inference, and HPC workloads.

The first phase will provide 20 MW of IT capacity using liquid-cooling technology, with total capacity expected to reach 30 MW upon completion.

The facility is intended to provide cloud services, AI computing, HPC, and digital infrastructure for government agencies, businesses, and international clients.

According to G-Group, the project aligns with Hanoi’s plans to expand AI adoption, digital transformation, and smart governance while reinforcing Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park’s role as a technology center.

Ha Trung Kien, vice chairman of the company, said the campus was designed to support future advances in AI and computing while strengthening Vietnam’s digital capabilities through international collaboration.

Alongside the investment approval, the company signed a cooperation agreement with the Hanoi People’s Committee and OTECH to develop and operate AI-ready digital infrastructure in Vietnam.

The partnership will focus on AI data centers, hyperscale cloud infrastructure, GPU and high-performance computing platforms, sovereign cloud services, cybersecurity, data services, and digital transformation solutions.

Under the agreement, the Hanoi People’s Committee will facilitate investment, OTECH will contribute expertise in operating national-scale AI-ready data centres, sovereign cloud platforms, technology architecture and investment capabilities, and G-Group will oversee project investment, local development, financing, and operations.

According to the company, the project and partnership are intended to support long-term AI infrastructure development and technology cooperation between Vietnam and Oman.
