Uttar Pradesh will receive a gift of Rs 47,000 crore when this expressway, built at a cost of Rs 37,000 crore, is commissioned. It is not just a road project, it will also work to transform Uttar Pradesh into an industrial hub. Twelve industrial hubs are being developed along the expressway, for which 6,507 acres of land has been earmarked. So far 987 investment proposals have been received. This expressway will bring an investment of approximately Rs 47,000 crore to the Uttar Pradesh government. Therefore, this route will play a very important role in transforming Uttar Pradesh.

Commercial hubs are being developed in the 12 districts through which the expressway passes: Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. This expressway will boost manufacturing, warehousing and logistics. Along with industrial investment, new employment opportunities and tourism will be encouraged. The Ganga Expressway will boost religious tourism in Prayagraj, Varanasi, Vindhyachal Dham, Chitrakoot and Ayodhya. All in all, this expressway is bound to be a complete economic boom.

Increased demand for real estate

The opening of this expressway will boost the real estate sector. Meerut’s real estate sector has already grown by 40 percent. Property prices in Prayagraj have increased by 20 to 30 percent. Land prices near the Ganga Expressway have increased by 30 to 50 percent. The demand for land here has already increased by 25 to 35 percent. This expressway connecting Western Uttar Pradesh with Eastern Uttar Pradesh will boost the economic corridor.

The foundation stone of the Ganga Expressway was laid on 18 December 2021. It took approximately 4 years and 4 months to complete this road. This means, the longest expressway in Uttar Pradesh with a length of 594 km was completed in approximately 1560 days. The expressway, which will connect 12 districts and 518 villages, will directly benefit small businesses, traders and farmers. All 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh will benefit directly from this.

Presently constructed as 6-lane, the expressway is designed in such a way that it can be expanded to 8-lane to meet future requirements. With a ‘design speed’ of 120 kilometers per hour, this expressway will ensure fast and uninterrupted flow of traffic.
