If the gas suddenly runs out in your home, there is no need to wait long. Soon, you will be able to order LPG cylinders in minutes just like grocery. For the first time in India, quick commerce platform Swiggy Instamart and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have launched a service that delivers selected LPG cylinders to your doorstep in approximately 10 minutes. The service has been launched in Bangalore and other areas where Instamart’s delivery service is available.
What cylinders are available?
Currently, the customer HP new 10 kg composite LPG cylinder And HPCL can order 5 kg metal LPG cylinder. For those who don’t need a 14.2kg household cylinder, these smaller cylinders are particularly useful. The new HP cylinder is lighter in weight, corrosion-resistant compared to steel cylinders and its transparent design makes it easy to see the remaining gas level.

Booking gas cylinder through Swiggy Instamart is very easy. First, open the app. Then, search for HPCL LPG cylinders, select the cylinder you want and confirm the order. On completion of the order, the cylinders will be delivered by HPCL’s registered distributors and trained delivery staff. This means that the booking will be done through the app, but HPCL will make the delivery strictly following the safety norms.
The Union Minister called it a big step
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri welcomed the launch of this new service. He said that this initiative of HPCL is a big step towards digital India, ease of living and promotion of clean energy. According to him, on-demand delivery of LPG cylinders through the quick commerce platform will make it more convenient for consumers and facilitate the availability of clean fuel.
