The actor told that in the beginning of his career he did 3 to 4 jobs simultaneously. His daily routine was so tough that he would reach home at 4 in the morning, and then go out with his wife Ravneet to distribute newspapers. The struggle can be gauged from the fact that to run the household, they simultaneously worked as security guards, newspaper delivery and cleaning in the mall. The journey from cleaning in the mall to lifting trays in the food court, Gippy Grewal, while sharing the details of his earnings during those difficult days, said that at that time he used to get $13 from the cleaning job in the mall and about $8 from other works. His wife also used to do security guard duty after working from 6 am to 4 pm. He told, "In the evening, we would work in the mall for 2-3 hours, where my wife would pick up people’s trays in the food court and I would do the cleaning work." This was the time when Gippy worked day and night to release his second album. Gippy, who won the battle with her family, said that even in these difficult circumstances, her passion did not diminish. He and his wife Ravneet, who married in 2007, worked side by side.
