GBC@5.0 will bring investment of Rs 7.55 lakh crore in UP! 7,000 projects will get momentum

Lucknow, Read: Preparations for the Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC) @ 5.0 have intensified to bring the investment proposals on the ground in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of preparations and projects in a high-level meeting on Thursday. As per the current situation, an investment of more than Rs 7.55 lakh crore is ready to be implemented in GBC@5.0 through about 7,000 projects in all 75 districts.

According to Invest UP, these include about 3,500 projects through departments, more than 3,500 projects linked to the Nivesh Sarathi portal at the district level and more than 100 big projects through Invest UP. Region wise investment of about Rs 4.75 lakh crore is proposed in Paschimanchal, more than Rs 1.20 lakh crore in Purvanchal, more than Rs 80 thousand crore in Madhyanchal and more than Rs 60 thousand crore in Bundelkhand. About 90 big projects with investment of more than Rs 1,000 crore are also included in this.

Major investment proposals in data centers and energy

Sector-wise investments include data centres, energy, real estate, infrastructure, IT and electronics, food processing, steel-cement, pharma-chemicals, textiles, automobile and tourism. There are investment proposals worth about Rs 1.80 lakh crore in data centres, more than Rs 1.15 lakh crore in energy and more than Rs 75 thousand crore in real estate. There are investment proposals worth about Rs 2.75 lakh crore in the manufacturing sector and about Rs 1.50 lakh crore in infrastructure. The Chief Minister directed that the approval, land, infrastructure and other processes of the projects included in GBC@5.0 should be completed in a time bound manner. By communicating regularly with investors, their problems should be resolved on priority.

There should be no delay in incentive amount.

The Chief Minister said that eligible investors should not have to visit offices to get approved financial incentives. The entire process of payment should be transparent and time bound and incentive amount should be made available within the stipulated time. The progress from GBC-1 to 4 was also reviewed in the meeting. It was informed that out of more than 16 thousand projects, more than 8 thousand have come into commercial operation, while the remaining projects are in various stages of implementation.

Security monitoring will increase on the expressway

Expressing grief over recent road accidents, the Chief Minister directed to strengthen monitoring of black spots, overspeeding, visibility in fog, security cameras and radar on expressways. Also asked to make checking of fitness of vehicles and alertness of drivers at toll plazas effective. UPEDA, Transport and Police were instructed to prepare a coordinated security system and prepare an action plan to develop a trauma center around the expressway with the help of the private sector.
