GCC-US Meeting: Big meeting of America and GCC countries held in Bahrain, discussion on regional peace and security

A very important meeting was held between Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and America in Manama, Bahrain. The main objective of this meeting was to maintain peace in the area and reduce mutual tension. GCC Secretary General Jasem Al-Budaiwi said that during this period many important issues were discussed.

The meeting took place on 25 June 2026, which was chaired by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister of Bahrain. America’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio and foreign ministers of GCC countries participated in it. It was emphasized in the meeting that whatever agreements will be made in the future, the security and interests of the Gulf countries will be taken full care of.

During the talks, it was said to follow international laws, respect the sovereignty of other countries and not interfere in anyone’s internal affairs. Earlier, a meeting was also held in Amman, Jordan on 22 June 2026, where similar issues were discussed.

A major update was that the ‘Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding’ (MoU) came into force between America and Iran on June 18, 2026. The purpose of this agreement is to end the conflict between Washington and Tehran. In this, a way has been found to resolve issues like relaxation of sanctions, Iran’s nuclear program and maritime security of the Strait of Hormuz.

The GCC countries have welcomed all efforts to reduce tensions and ensure the security of sea lanes. He believes that only by following international laws will there be stability in the entire area.
