UAE President: Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed met Syrian Foreign Minister, discussed economy and development
In Abu Dhabi, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani. This meeting was held on 25 June 2026, in which discussions were held to further improve relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Al-Shaibani conveyed greetings and messages on behalf of Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa. In response, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also sent his good wishes to President Al-Shara and wished for the progress and development of Syria and its people.
The two leaders discussed how the two countries can cooperate with each other. Special emphasis was laid on the areas of economy and development in the meeting. Apart from this, the current situation in the Middle East and regional issues were also discussed so as to promote the well-being and prosperity of the common people of both the countries.

- His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court)
- HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court)
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan (Adviser to the UAE President)
Many other senior officials and Sheikhs also participated in this meeting.
