Free Blue Tick will be available on Facebook, Meta is bringing Human Verified badge, AI and fake profiles will be controlled

Meta Blue Tick For Facebook Human Verification: In the growing era of Artificial Intelligence and Deepfake technology, it has become more difficult than ever to identify real and fake accounts on social media. In such a situation, Meta is going to take a big step to curb online scams, fake profiles and AI bots. Regarding which the company has said that now it is launching Human Verified badge for common users on Facebook which will be completely free. Which simply means that now there will be no need to spend money to get a blue tick, but only an easy verification of one minute will have to be done.

How to get Human Verified badge?

It has been revealed that the purpose of this new feature of Meta is to prove that the Facebook account belongs to a real person and not an AI bot or a fake profile. For this, the user will have to record a short selfie video from his phone and submit it. After this Facebook will match this video with the user’s profile photo. If both match then the account will get the Human Verified badge. The special thing is that this entire process will be free and will be completed in just a few minutes.

Who can take this free verification?

Meta has informed that some conditions have also been kept for this badge. In which first of all the age of the user should be 18 years or more. Apart from this, there should not be any previous record of any kind of fraud, scam or misleading activities on the account. At present this facility will be available only for Personal Profile. Whereas Facebook Pages and Professional Mode profiles cannot take advantage of this feature.

Where will the Verified Badge appear?

Once the verification process is complete, this badge will appear in those places on Facebook where the user’s identity matters most. These include Facebook Profile, Marketplace, Facebook Dating and Facebook Groups. The company is also planning to show it on users’ feed posts in future. The good thing is that the user will have to do this verification only once.

Getting a badge doesn’t mean trustworthy behavior.

Regarding this process, Meta has clarified that the Human Verified badge will only prove that the account belongs to a real person. This does not mean that the user will always behave correctly or reliably. At the same time, verified users will also have to follow Facebook’s Community Standards and Commerce Policy. Action can be taken against them for violating the rules. Although for now this feature is being rolled out in select countries and it has not been launched in India yet, but it is expected that in the coming time, Indian users will also start getting this facility.
