New Delhi. Actress Kaylee Hottle, who gained worldwide recognition by playing the character of Jiya in Hollywood’s famous films ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ and ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’, died at the age of 18. He died in a road accident in Maryland, America.
Kelly’s father Joshua Hottel announced her death via Facebook Live in American Sign Language (ASL). Later he also confirmed this sad news to TMZ.

Kelly was a senior student of Texas School for the Deaf. The school issued a statement on social media expressing deep sorrow over his demise.
The school wrote – It is with great sadness that we have to inform that our senior student Kelly Hottle passed away in a car accident in Frederick, Maryland. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all his loved ones during this difficult time.
The school also appealed to the people not to make any rumors or speculations regarding the accident and to respect the privacy of the family.
Got recognition from ‘Godzilla’ films
Kelly Hottle stars in the 2021 film ‘Godzilla vs. Played the character of Jiya in ‘Kong’. Jiya was a deaf-mute orphan girl who was shown to have a very special relationship with King Kong. Later, she was also seen in the same character in ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ released in 2024.
For his brilliant acting in this film, he also received a nomination in the Saturn Award in the Best Performance by a Younger Actor category.
The biggest challenge was to act in sign language.
In an interview with The Daily Moth in 2021, Kelly said that it was not difficult for him to memorize the dialogue, but it was quite challenging for him to adapt the dialogues according to American Sign Language (ASL).
He said that many times the director-producer wanted him to sign according to the words of the script, but in ASL the same thing is expressed in a different way. Due to this, there were some misunderstandings on the set, although later the team understood them.
Hollywood and her fans have been deeply shocked by the sudden demise of Kelly Hottle. At the age of just 18, he had made a special place in the hearts of audiences around the world with his talent.
