Gold Price Today: Gold becomes expensive again, 24 carat gold reaches close to Rs 1.50 lakh

Lucknow. There has been a rise in gold prices this week. The price of 24 carat gold increased by Rs 1,292 to Rs 1,49,430 per 10 grams. At the same time, a slight increase was recorded in the price of silver. Silver became costlier by Rs 280 and reached Rs 2,21,109 per kg. According to data from India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the prices of both the precious metals remained volatile this week.

Price of 24 carat gold increased by Rs 1,292

According to IBJA, the price of 24 carat gold was earlier Rs 1,48,138 per 10 grams, which has increased to Rs 1,49,430. Similarly, the price of 22 carat gold increased from Rs 1,35,694 to Rs 1,36,878 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of 18 carat gold has also increased. Its price has increased from Rs 1,11,104 per 10 grams to Rs 1,12,073. Due to this increase, the prices of gold in different purity categories have increased.

Silver also became expensive, know how much the price increased

Along with gold, the price of silver also increased. The price of silver increased by Rs 280 to Rs 2,21,109 per kg, whereas earlier its price was Rs 2,20,829 per kg. However, fluctuations were seen in the price of silver throughout the week. According to IBJA data, the highest price of silver stood at Rs 2,24,157 per kg in the evening session on October 5. At the same time, its minimum price was recorded at Rs 2,20,866 per kg in the evening session on October 7.

Constant changes were also seen in the price of gold this week. According to IBJA, gold price was recorded at Rs 1,49,614 per 10 grams in the morning session on October 9. Whereas, in the morning session on October 6, the price was Rs 1,47,278 per 10 grams. Gold and silver prices are released by IBJA twice a day. For this, prices are updated in the morning and evening sessions.

Gold and silver strong in international market also

In the international market, the price of gold has reached $ 4,200 per ounce and the price of silver has reached close to $ 60 per ounce. However, according to experts, the prices of both the precious metals remained in a tight range this week. The main reasons behind this are said to be the bond yield continuously remaining at the level of 5 percent and the price of crude oil being above $ 100 per barrel. Apart from this, the strong US dollar is also putting pressure on gold and silver prices.
