What is driving gold and silver prices?
Gold prices continue to be influenced by geopolitical developments, movements in the US dollar, oil prices and expectations surrounding global monetary policy. On Friday, lower oil prices and a softer US dollar offered some support to international gold prices, even as domestic gold rates remained slightly lower.
Silver, meanwhile, moved marginally higher in the domestic futures market. Investors continue to track global economic conditions, geopolitical developments and monetary policy expectations for further direction in precious metals.
