Lucknow. There is good news for the non-gazetted employees of the police department who contributed to the duties and arrangements during the Maha Kumbh Mela-2025 in Uttar Pradesh. The government has started the process of giving incentive amount of Rs 10,000 to eligible employees. In this regard, necessary instructions have been issued by the Director General of Police Headquarters to the concerned officers.
During the Mahakumbh, a large number of policemen and employees had contributed in handling the security of the devotees, traffic arrangements and other responsibilities. Now eligible non-gazetted employees will be given incentive amount for their contribution.
Which employees will get the benefit?
This incentive amount will be given to non-gazetted employees posted at the police headquarters and attached to various commissionerates, districts and police units. Eligibility will be decided on the basis of contribution to the Maha Kumbh Mela and departmental records of the concerned employee. Police Headquarters has instructed the concerned officers to prepare the list of eligible employees and proceed with the payment as per the prescribed procedure.
Rs 10 thousand per employee
According to the instructions, an amount of Rs 10,000 per employee will be allocated to the eligible employees. The concerned commissionerate, district, branch and units have been asked to take necessary action according to the number of employees. This will provide financial incentive to eligible employees who contribute to the duties of Maha Kumbh.
Verification will be done before payment
Departmental records will be checked before releasing the incentive amount. Officials have been instructed to ensure that the employee in whose name the payment is being made has not received the amount under this head earlier. Only after this verification, the process of providing incentive amount to the eligible employees will be completed.
