The Veteran spinner Graeme Cremer has been recalled to the Zimbabwe Squad after recovering from a left-arm injury and will be part of the 15-member squad led by Sikandar Raza for the Namibia T20I Tri-Series 2026.
The 39-year old Graeme Cremer had not played for Zimbabwe in seven years when he made his comeback to play in the T20 World Cup, before a left-arm injury sidelined him from selection after the tournament.
On the other hand, Richard Ngarava and Tanaka Chivanga will be missing the series as they are currently recovering from their respective injuries.
While Richard Ngarava is in rehabilitation from a lower-back injury, Fast bowler Tanaka Chivanga has been ruled out due to an Achilles tendon injury.
Both players will continue to be monitored by the ZC medical team as they undergo rehabilitation. Zimbabwe will also be monitoring Ngarava’s recovery, and if fit, he is expected to lead the side for the ODI series against Australia in September.
Batter Brendan Taylor has been left out of the side after being sidelined in their T20I series against Bangladesh and India this year.
He last played a T20I against Oman in the World Cup. He continues to feature in the Test side and played in their most recent game, a one-off Test against Bangladesh in June.
Coming to the T20I Tri-series involving South Africa and Namibia, Zimbabwe will play in a double round-robin format, which commences on August 28 and will take place in Windhoek. The top two sides will advance to the final on September 06.
After the ODI series against Australia, Zimbabwe are also expected to play two tests and three ODIs against Afghanistan in the UAE in November.
