Samrat Chaudhary: Journey from Deputy CM to CM

With Samrat Chaudhary becoming the CM, an old myth of Bihar politics was also broken. He is the second leader in the history of Bihar after Karpoori Thakur, who first served as Deputy CM and later reached the post of Chief Minister. Samrat Chaudhary’s political journey has been quite diverse. He started his career with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). After this he joined JDU and was also a minister in Jitan Ram Manjhi’s government in 2014. Later he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and today is handling the reins of Bihar as the state chief.
