Shribhoomi: With the arrival of Shardiya Durga Utsav, a festive atmosphere has started developing in Ramakrishnanagar and Sonbil area of Shribhoomi district. In this sequence, the Durga Puja of 'Hum Sabhi Matridal' led by women in Gandhinagar is going to enter its third year this year. After the success of the last two years, preparations are underway to make the event more comprehensive and attractive this time. In the recently held press meet, the organizers told that this year there will be special attraction in the statue, pavilion decoration and electrical decoration. To make the puja a success, preparations are going on in full swing and the members of the organization are holding regular meetings and reviewing various preparations.
In the last two years, Durga Puja of 'Hum Sabhi Matridal' has created a special identity in the area due to its attractive theme, artistic idols and creative mandap decoration. The event has also received honors and awards at various levels. Taking this success forward, innovation and creativity are being given priority this year too. According to the organisers, the specialty of this puja is the women-led conduct of the entire event. Through this, an effort is being made to convey the message of women's solidarity, social harmony, mutual cooperation and active role of women power in society building.
The responsibility of pavilion and electrical decoration has been given to local artist Nihar Namshudra and a team of experienced artisans from Silchar. Local artist Deepak Pal is handling the responsibility of making the statue. Organizers say that the creativity and experience of the artists is expected to give a new look to the puja this year. Enthusiasm is already being seen in Ramakrishnanagar and surrounding areas of the district regarding the puja. The eyes of the locals are now set on the special decorations and attractions of this year's event.
