Kanpur. On Friday, on behalf of Police Commissionerate Kanpur City, with the aim of spreading the feeling of patriotism, national unity and integrity to the people on the occasion of 80th Independence Day. 'Har Ghar Tricolor Campaign-2026' Under this, a grand Tricolor Yatra and bike rally was taken out. The yatra, which started from the Reserve Police Line, was flagged off by Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal.
Women policemen enthusiastically participated in the bike rally and gave the message of women empowerment along with patriotism. The Tricolor Yatra reached Sarsaiya Ghat intersection from Reserve Police Line via Lal Imli Square, Naveen Market, Bada Square, Nanarao Park, VIP Road and District Magistrate Office. After this the journey ended after reaching the Reserve Police Line.
Women police officers and employees of various police stations including Kotwali Police Station, Mahila Police Station, Police Line and about 300 officers and employees of Mission Shakti teams participated in the yatra. Through Tiranga Yatra, people were motivated to join the Tricolor campaign at every house and hoist the national flag at their homes and establishments.
On this occasion, Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Dr. Vipin Tada, Additional Police Commissioner Sankalp Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police Headquarters Dinesh Tripathi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Headquarters Sneha Tiwari, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Yogesh Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Archana Singh, Assistant Police Commissioner Swaroopnagar Jyotishree, Assistant Police Commissioner Sisamau Pragati Yadav, Assistant Police Commissioner Colonelganj Akanksha Pandey and other officers and employees were present.
Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal said that the tricolor is not just a flag, but a symbol of the sacrifice of the brave soldiers, the unity and integrity of the country and the pride of crores of Indians.
