Gujarat Gas Q4 Results: Net profit falls 46.5% QoQ to Rs 351 crore, margins under pressure

Gujarat Gas Ltd. reported a decline in earnings for the fourth quarter, impacted by lower operating performance and a significant one-time loss during the period.

The company posted a net profit of ₹351 crore, down 46.5% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from ₹656 crore reported in the previous quarter.

During the quarter, Gujarat Gas recorded a one-time loss of ₹146.57 crore, compared with ₹3.24 crore in the preceding quarter, which weighed on overall profitability. Revenue from operations stood at ₹5,792 crore, registering a 3.4% decline QoQ from ₹5,998 crore reported in the previous quarter.

Operating performance also weakened during the quarter. EBITDA declined 35% QoQ to ₹609.5 crore, compared with ₹935 crore in the preceding quarter. The company’s EBITDA margin contracted to 10.5%, down from 15.6% in the previous quarter, indicating pressure on operating profitability.
