GT vs RR 1st Innings Highlights: The 52nd match of IPL 2026 is being played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals captain Yashasvi Jaiswal decided to bowl in the match being played at Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. Thanks to the brilliant innings of captain Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudarshan, Gujraj Titans scored 229 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs against Rajasthan Royals. Now Rajasthan will have to score 230 runs to win at home.
Record breaking partnership between SAI and Gill
In this match, there was a historic partnership for the first wicket between Gujarat Titans’ opening batsman captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. Both the players made a brilliant partnership of 118 runs in 65 balls for the first wicket. On this score, the team got its first blow in the form of Sai Sudarshan on Yash Raj Punja’s over. Sai scored 55 runs in 36 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. After this, at the score of 150, Gujarat Titans got the second big blow in the form of Jos Buttler. Butler was made his victim by Ravindra Jadeja on the score of 13 runs.
Captain Gill has scored a century
Against RR, GT captain Shubman Gill played an explosive inning of 84 runs in 44 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Brijesh Sharma made him his victim in the 17th over of the innings. This was his third setback for Gujarat.
Riyan Parag out due to injury
Rajasthan Royals’ regular captain Riyan Parag is not playing this match due to injury. Shimron Hetmyer has entered the playing eleven of Rajasthan Royals in place of Ryan. After winning the toss, captain Yashasvi said, “We want to bowl first. I think the wicket is very good. Parag has pulled his hamstring, he will be back soon. Hetmyer has come in place of Parag. Will come.”
