Gurugram hit-and-run case accused Kalyan Bainsla arrested from Rajasthan, police slapped section of attempt to murder

Gurugram:The police have intensified action in the case of a woman bike rider being hit by a car on the Golf Course Road in Gurugram. The main accused in the case, Kalyan Bainsla, has been arrested from Dausa, Rajasthan. According to the police, after CCTV footage surfaced, the incident was not considered a mere road accident and section 307 of attempt to murder was added to the FIR.

A team of Gurugram Police had reached Rajasthan in search of the accused. After his arrest from there, he is being brought to Gurugram. The police have taken this action on the basis of the complaint of the victim's family and the CCTV video of the incident which went viral on social media.

Family members reached the police station and asked for justice

Late Monday night, victim Siya alias Shivani Chauhan's father Roshan Chauhan, her brother and other family members reached Sector-56 police station. The family members gave a written complaint and demanded strict legal action against the accused. The family says that the picture of the incident is clearly visible in the video. On this basis, a demand was made to the police to impose strict sections against the accused. After this the police started further action in the case.

'Intentional collision'

According to DCP East Sandeep Malik, in the initial investigation of the video that surfaced, it appears that the young man driving the car deliberately hit the woman biker. On this basis, the police considered it a serious matter and included section 307 of IPC in the FIR. The police are now also investigating other aspects related to the case. It is said that the statement of the victim will be recorded soon, due to which more information can be revealed regarding the circumstances of the incident.

'The daughter was dragged far with the car'

The victim's father Roshan Chauhan told that when the family reached the police station, the police gave them a copy of the already registered suo-moto FIR. He said that after watching the video he did not think it was a normal accident.

According to Roshan Chauhan, after the collision, his daughter was dragged for a long distance with the car. He said that it is a matter of relief for the family that he did not suffer serious physical harm. According to him, Siya was very scared after the incident and that is why she did not inform the family initially.

The family has clearly said that it will take every possible step to get justice for its daughter. At the same time, Sia's lawyer has also demanded the police to impose strict sections in the case and take strict action against the accused. Now the investigation will proceed after the interrogation of the accused and the statement of the victim.
