Mumbai:Two big and tried stars of Hindi cinema, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, are finally all set to come face to face once again after a long gap. As soon as the trailer of his upcoming psychological thriller film 'Haivaan' was released on the internet, it created a stir all around. The kind of fear, suspense and mind-blowing thrill shown in this short video of two minutes thirty-four seconds has increased the heartbeats of the fans. The story of this film, directed by well-known director Priyadarshan, has been woven in such a way that the audience will not even get a chance to blink an eye. Many scenes of the trailer are so scary and full of suspense that it gives goosebumps.
The journey of casting is interesting
It is being discussed that this film is the official Hindi remake of the 2016 superhit Malayalam film 'Oppam', although no official confirmation has been made by the makers regarding the same.
Work on this film, being made under the banner of KVN Productions and Thespian Films, started in May 2025, after which it was officially announced in July.
Akshay's entry in place of Bobby Deol
The casting journey of this film has also been no less interesting. The news of Saif Ali Khan joining this project was first revealed in April 2025. According to reports, earlier talks were going on with actor Bobby Deol for the role of the dangerous villain for which Akshay Kumar has been finalized today. However, after things did not work out, Akshay Kumar was selected for this role and his explosive entry changed the entire atmosphere of the film. After this, by August 2025, actors like Asrani, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher had also become a part of this star cast.

Akshay-Saif pair returning on screen after 17 years
