Harbhajan Singh said about Kapil Dev, 'I wanted to be like Kapil Paaji (Kapil Dev), but I did not have the physique for that. Someone told me that I should become a spinner. To be honest, I didn't even know what spin bowling was at that time, but when someone told me, this idea stuck in my mind and I started trying to spin the ball a little. Harbhajan Singh said, 'I believe that I was selected, whether it is playing 100 Test matches or becoming the first Indian to take a Test hat-trick. It was God's wish, his blessing and my family's blessing. I really believe in God's plan, I even thought of a couplet. “What a big illusion it was that I was important, man of God, thank that Waheguru, it was his mercy on you.”
