Delhi: Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is angry with Rajat Patidar not getting a place in the Indian T20 squad for the tour of Ireland and England. He has asked sharp questions to the BCCI selectors for ignoring Patidar. Bhajji believes that despite his brilliant and strong performance in the recently concluded IPL 2026, it is unfair to keep this batsman out of the team.

Bhajji attacked the selectors

Let us tell you that the 19th season of IPL was very good for Rajat Patidar. Under his captaincy, RCB captured the trophy for the second consecutive time. After MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, Patidar also became the third captain to win two consecutive trophies in IPL. 33-year-old Patidar also performed brilliantly with the bat and scored a total of 501 runs in 14 innings at a stormy strike rate of 192.69.

‘The absence of Rajat Patidar in the Indian team is very disappointing. What else do they need to do? Scored 501 runs at a strike rate of around 200. This is injustice. Patidar is the best middle order batsman in India at present. A proper hitter with excellent technique.

Shreyas Iyer became captain

Even though Patidar did not get a place, Shreyas Iyer has made a great comeback in the Indian T20 team after two years. The captaincy has been snatched from Suryakumar Yadav and given to Iyer. Suryakumar Yadav could not even retain his place in the team. He suffered two major setbacks due to his poor performance.
