“Na hum gentle hain, aur na hi hamara game.” With this bold declaration, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has challenged one of cricket's most familiar narratives in a new way. Sony Sports Network has launched a new campaign 'Not a Gentleman's Game' in the run-up to the Women's T20 Asia Cup 2026. The campaign showcases the intensity, aggression and relentless preparation behind India's top position in world cricket. The solitary training sessions, the grueling weight training, the injured hands, the explosive performances that followed, the packed stadiums and the historic World Cup victory have all showcased a team that plays aggressively, plays to win and refuses to confine itself to conventional frameworks.

The film opens with Amitabh Bachchan's familiar line “Cricket is a gentleman's game”. However, Harmanpreet rejects this idea with her own self-confidence. A further message that emerges from the film is that victory has no gender; Its color is only blue. With India entering the tournament as world champions, the campaign has built up excitement for the next continental challenge. Harmanpreet and her team will look to continue their winning streak in the UAE and the much-hyped India-Pakistan match on September 5 will be a highlight.

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer, Business Head Sports and International, Sony Pictures Networks India said “Indian women's team has changed the way cricket is played and seen in the country. They are world champions, play aggressive and fearless cricket and go into every match with the expectation of winning. The 'Not a Gentleman's Game' campaign underlines this confidence through Harmanpreet Kaur and teaches the entire nation to believe. The Women's T20 Asia Cup will witness high-quality and exciting cricket, and we are delighted to bring every moment to the audience through Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV.”

Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, “There is nothing soft about the way we prepare or the way we play. This film perfectly showcases the intensity, confidence and ambition of our team. We know what it takes to win at the world level. Now we are focused on maintaining the same winning momentum in the Women's T20 Asia Cup and bringing the title to India.”

The campaign will be aired on Sony Sports Network's television channels as well as on Sony LIV before and during the tournament. Women's T20 Asia Cup 2026 will be hosted in UAE from 28th August to 13th September 2026. All matches of Women's T20 Asia Cup 2026 can be watched exclusively on Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV from 28th August 2026.
