Harry Potter Series Renewed for Season 3, but Not the One You Think

Food Network has renewed Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking

A third season of “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” is officially in the works at Food Network, as per Deadline. The network has renewed the competition series, with Season 3 set to premiere during the fourth quarter of 2026. Its return comes as “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” marks its 25th anniversary, which was released in 2001.

The next season will introduce four teams based on the houses of Hogwarts. Bakers will compete in a tournament format, with Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin each represented by a team. Cake creations will remain important to the competition.

James Phelps and Oliver Phelps will again serve as hosts. The brothers previously appeared as Fred and George Weasley throughout the “Harry Potter” film franchise and have hosted the competition since its debut. Food Network President Betsy Ayala has also spoken about the significance of the anniversary year for the series.

“We’re excited to build on that momentum in Season 3 with ambitious new creations, iconic locations and enchanting surprises,” Ayala said.

Season 3 will have a different filming location from its previous seasons. Production is relocating from the UK to Canada following a sizeable reduction in the show’s budget. The first two seasons were filmed in the UK and incorporated sets from the Harry Potter films at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, along with locations at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.

Warner Horizon Unscripted Television is behind the third season. Meanwhile, Dan Sacks, Bridgette Theriault, and Yasmin Shackleton are attached as executive producers.
