The Haryana government will deploy 'Parali Suraksha Bal' at the district and block levels to prevent incidents of burning of crop residues, which will include police personnel and administrative officials as well as officials from agriculture and other related departments. Giving information, officials said that this step is being taken in view of increasing pollution in winter.
The Haryana government will intensify late evening patrolling as well as use drones to keep an eye on incidents of stubble burning in fields. Apart from this, farmers will be given an incentive of Rs 1,200 per acre for better use of crop residue management machinery.

Procurement of paddy in the state will also start soon
According to Haryana government officials, these steps are part of Haryana's action plan to completely eliminate the problem of stubble burning before the paddy harvesting season. Paddy procurement is also going to start soon in the state.
Reasons for increase in pollution in Delhi-NCR?
Stubble burning incidents in Punjab and Haryana are often considered responsible for the increase in air pollution in Delhi-NCR. Due to the short time between paddy harvesting in October-November and sowing of Rabi crops, especially wheat, many farmers burn crop residues or stubble to clear the fields quickly.

Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi on Thursday reviewed the state's action plan to end the problem of stubble burning and compliance with Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) directions.
