Heatwave causes mass deaths of shrimp and crab in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta
Statistics show that since the beginning of the year, more than 1,300 hectares of aquaculture have been affected, most with losses exceeding 70%, higher than in the same period last year.
This includes nearly 247 hectares of industrial and semi-industrial shrimp farms, about 97 hectares of traditional shrimp farms, and over 390 hectares of crab farms.
