A CCTV/mobile video of the incident has also surfaced, in which the entire incident of the attack is clearly visible. It can be seen in the video that three youths riding on the same bike stop near Gulab Sidhu's house. The young man sitting in the middle of the bike loads the pistol and starts firing rapidly at the gate of the house, while the other young man sitting behind him is also seen opening fire. During this time, the third youth riding the bike was recording the video of the entire incident from his mobile. All three fled from the spot after firing bullets.
After the incident, an alleged audio message has surfaced, in which gangster Donny Bal has confessed to firing bullets at Gulab Sidhu's house. However, police and local media are investigating the authenticity of this audio. Gulab Sidhu is one of the very close friends of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. After the murder of Moosewala, Gulab Sidhu was also continuously receiving death threats and ransom calls. Based on threats and security inputs, Punjab Police has already provided him with two security personnel.
This is not the first time that Gulab Sidhu has been the target of criminals. Earlier, on January 10, 2026, Barnala police had foiled a major conspiracy by arresting three accused who were planning to attack the singer. The main conspirator of that case was Baljinder Singh (Kinda), Sarpanch of Kotduna village, who was angry with the lyrics of Gulab Sidhu's famous song 'Sarpanchiyan'. He wanted to create fear in the area by attacking the singer during a live show so that a huge ransom could be recovered later.
As soon as information about the incident was received, police station Sadar immediately reached the spot, sealed the entire area and started investigation. Police officials said that the CCTV cameras installed at the entry and exit points of the village as well as on the main roads are being carefully scrutinized. Forensic teams have collected empty cartridges and other evidence from the spot. Police claim that the accused will be identified soon and strict legal action will be taken against them.
