The effect of Arnab cyclone is visible across the country. It is raining heavily in 8 states of the country including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The seasonal system formed in the Bay of Bengal is now moving from South Chhattisgarh towards north-east, due to which an alert of heavy rain has been issued in 14 states including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
It has been raining continuously in Uttar Pradesh since Friday. Winds are blowing at the speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. The danger of flood is increasing in 32 districts. Schools have been closed in 58 districts on Saturday. At the same time, all the universities and colleges of various districts including Lucknow, Sultanpur and Shamli will also remain closed. A car has overturned due to storm and rain on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Kannauj. Five people are trapped in the car. Apart from this, it has been raining in Chhattisgarh also for about 36 hours. Saturday is a holiday in all schools.

Flood in 50 villages of Supaul
Apart from this, 50 villages in Supaul, Bihar have been affected by floods. Yellow alert has been issued in 19 districts. Three people have died in rain-related incidents. There has been snowfall in Hemkund Sahib, Badrinath of Chamoli in Uttarakhand. More than 300 vehicles are stuck due to landslide on Pithoragarh-Ghat road.

Rescue of 55 people in Durg, Chhattisgarh
The water level of Shivnath river has increased after continuous rains in Durg, Chhattisgarh. Many families were trapped in Kumhari area as flood water reached residential settlements. Municipal Army (Home Guard) and SDRF have safely evacuated 50 to 55 people during the relief and rescue operation that lasted from 12 midnight to 5 am.
