Automobile Desk: In the 125cc bike segment, Hero MotoCorp has launched its famous motorcycle Glamor in a completely new and hi-tech style in the Indian market. Keeping in view the market demand, the company has introduced a new ABS variant of Glamor X 125. This new motorcycle not only has single-channel ABS for safety, but advanced features like cruise control have also been included for the first time in the segment. Coming with a new avatar and premium features, this bike has emerged as a great option for both daily commute and long distances.
Hero MotoCorp has fixed the ex-showroom price of this new ABS model at Rs 1.01 lakh. Whereas the ex-showroom price of its basic drum brake variant in Delhi starts from around Rs 88,517. Considering the price, the safety features provided in the bike are quite good. It gets integrated braking system (IBS) with single-channel ABS.
The front wheel does not lock when applied suddenly and both brakes work together to keep the bike stable. Apart from this, safety features like panic brake alert and hazard lamps also provide safety to the rider in emergency situations.
Talking about performance, Hero Glamor X 125 has a powerful 124.7cc single-cylinder engine. This engine generates maximum power of 11.4 bhp and torque of 10.5 Nm. It has three different riding modes like Eco, Road and Power for better riding experience in different conditions. The biggest attraction is the cruise control feature available in it, which is usually seen in big and expensive bikes. With the help of this feature, during long journeys on the highway, the rider can ride the bike comfortably at a fixed speed without continuously applying the throttle.
This bike is also far ahead in terms of technology and convenience. It has a full TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Once connected to the rider's smartphone, turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts appear on the display. Useful information like gear shift indicator, real-time mileage and distance-to-empty of the bike are also available on the screen. Along with this, it also has a USB Type-C charging port and a place to keep the mobile under the seat.
This bike looks quite modern in appearance and has an all-LED lighting setup. Customers can choose from four attractive colors like Gun Metal Grey, Matte Axis Grey, Black Pearl Red and Black Teal Blue. The company claims that this bike gives excellent mileage of up to 65 kilometers per liter. This combination of excellent mileage, safety technology and smart features makes this bike a unique and strong option in the 125cc commuter segment.
