Himachal News: There may soon be an expansion of the cabinet in the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given clear indications that new ministers will be inducted in the state. Along with this, changes can also be made in the portfolios of some existing ministers. The Chief Minister gave this information while talking to journalists at Shimla Secretariat.
Cabinet will be expanded soon
Chief Minister Sukhu said that now there is no doubt regarding cabinet expansion and it will be done soon. However, he did not specify what would be the exact date of expansion and how many new ministers would be included in the cabinet. Even before this, discussions had been going on within the Congress regarding cabinet expansion.
In the beginning of September, many senior ministers including the Chief Minister had gone to Delhi regarding cabinet expansion and reshuffle. During this period, meetings were also held with the party leadership. According to reports, there was also discussion regarding the work of ministers and changes in departments.
Departments of some ministers will also change
Along with the expansion of the cabinet, there may also be a reshuffle of departments in the government. The Chief Minister himself has said that the portfolios of some current ministers will be changed. However, information about which ministers' departments will be changed and which new department will be given to them has not been revealed yet.
Earlier reports also talked about changes in departments and new faces being given place in the cabinet. However, the final decision will be clear only after the process of Congress leadership and the Chief Minister.
