Himanta Biswa Sarma elected leader of legislative party, stakes claim to meet Governor to form government
Guwahati. BJP legislature party meeting was held in Assam today. In this meeting, Himanta Biswa Sarma was elected the leader of BJP and NDA legislative party. Now on May 12, Himanta Biswa Sarma will take oath as Chief Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and many senior leaders will be present in this oath ceremony. An important meeting of NDA leaders was held in Guwahati on Sunday. In this meeting, Himanta Biswa Sarma was elected the leader of the NDA legislative party. This information has been given by Union Minister JP Nadda. At the same time, Himanta Biswa Sarma will take oath as the Chief Minister of Assam for the second time.

In this meeting of the legislative party, BJP MLAs proposed the name of Himanta Biswa Sarma. During this, Union Minister JP Nadda and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini were present in the meeting as central observers and co-observers. Major alliance partners, Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) also fully supported Sarma’s nomination. After the consent of all the parties, he was unanimously elected as the leader of NDA.
Will stake claim to form government
At the same time, now Himanta Bisma and other senior leaders of NDA will meet Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya at Lok Bhavan. NDA leaders have presented a formal claim to the Governor to form a new government. In this meeting he discussed important matters related to government formation.
