There will be a big political upheaval in Bengal, lotus will bloom in Mamata’s stronghold; Himanta Biswa Sarma staked claim

Himanta Biswa Sarma on Bengal Election: There are a lot of arrows of statements flying these days in the election battlefield of West Bengal. The prediction of Assam Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma has created a stir in the political circles of the state.

During the election campaign in Gaurabazar, West Bardhaman, the confidence with which he spoke of BJP’s victory has made the contest even more interesting. According to him, this time the people of Bengal are fully prepared for a big and new change. This statement has come at a time when the voters of the state are also gearing up to decide their future.

Big claim of BJP’s complete victory in Bengal

Himanta Biswa Sarma had reached Gaurbazar on Monday to create an atmosphere in favor of his party. While talking to the media there in a special way, he stressed that this time the election results of Bengal are going to be completely in favor of BJP.
He believes that now a strong wave of change is going on in the state and BJP is going to come to power with full majority. He has described his chances of victory as 100 percent certain, which shows that BJP does not want to leave any stone unturned in its strategy this time. This unwavering faith of Chief Minister Sarma is not only infusing new enthusiasm among the party workers, but is also giving a big challenge to the opposition camp.

Two-phase elections will create new history

This time the assembly elections of West Bengal are going to be different and historic in many ways. If we look at the electoral history of the state, since 2001, most of the elections have been conducted in several phases. The last elections of the year 2021 were completed after a long process of eight stages. But this time the Election Commission has taken a bold decision to conduct voting in only two phases.

The first phase of voting will be held on April 23, in which luck will be tried on 152 seats in 16 districts. After this, voting will be held on the remaining 142 seats in the second phase on April 29. This decision, taken in view of better administrative preparation and strong security arrangements, is also giving a new turn to the strategy of political parties.

Sharp attack on women’s reservation and motherhood

During his public meetings, Himanta Biswa Sarma also raised the issue of failure of Women’s Reservation Bill in Delhi very loudly. The 131st Amendment Bill of the Constitution could not get the required two-thirds majority in the Lok Sabha, due to which this important bill was rejected.

Sarma has directly blamed Mamata Banerjee, Congress and DMK for this situation. She claims that the women of the country and Bengal are feeling very sad and hurt due to the failure of this bill. According to him, women are now ready to avenge their insult and will give a befitting reply to these opposition parties in the elections. BJP is trying to make this emotional issue a big weapon for its victory.

Tension increased after the bill fell in Parliament

During the long debate within the Parliament, the Central Government had strongly supported 33 percent reservation for women. When it came to voting, 298 votes were cast in favor and 230 against, due to which the bill failed to be passed. After this setback, two other important bills related to delimitation and increasing the number of seats could not be taken forward because they were directly related to women’s reservation.

Now BJP is trying to win over women voters by blaming the opposition for this failure. This political battle of Bengal is now moving towards the results on May 4, when it will become clear to what extent the public has approved Sarma’s prediction.
