Kanpur City. On Friday, Hindu Raksha Dal officials, led by Mahila Morcha District President Reena Mishra, reached the Kanpur Police Commissioner’s office and submitted a detailed memorandum. The organization alleged that threats were being made to demolish a nearly ten-year-old public temple located in the Kalyanpur police station area, and that the complainant and her family were being continuously intimidated. The organization demanded an impartial investigation into the entire matter and strict legal action against the culprits.
In the memorandum, Reena Mishra alleged that a man living in her neighborhood, who claims to be a retired CRPF officer, has been demanding the demolition of the temple located in the public park. According to her, the temple is a symbol of the local people’s support and faith and has been a center of worship for devotees in the area for nearly ten years. Reena Mishra also alleged that she has faced numerous instances of indecent behavior, assault, and death threats. She stated that audio and video evidence related to these incidents is available, and the memorandum states that it has been submitted to the police. They also alleged that a final report (FR) had been filed in the previously filed case, and that they had been denied justice as only law enforcement action was taken on the complaints.
Hindu Raksha Dal officials demanded that the entire matter be investigated by a senior officer, that the available audio-video evidence be impartially examined, that the complainant and his family be provided security, and that if the allegations are found to be true, strict legal action be taken against the individuals involved. During the submission of the memorandum, Hindu Raksha Dal District President Neeraj Nischal Srivastava, Women’s Front District President Reena Mishra, District Vice President Alok Bhadoria, Treasurer Dinesh Sisodiya, Minister Kamta Tiwari, Senior Minister Mrityunjay Hinduwadi, Shravan Kumar, Vishal Pal, and several other organization officials and workers were present.
