Finnish company HMD is all set to launch its new budget smartphone HMD Vibe 2 5G in India on 21st May 2026 at 12 noon. The official microsite of this device has gone live on the e-commerce platform Flipkart, confirming its design and key specifications. At the same time, just before the launch, the prices of this phone have also been leaked on the internet through famous tipsters.

According to the official teaser released on Flipkart, this device has been designed keeping in mind the customers of the budget segment. According to the leaked data of the famous tipster, HMD Vibe 2 5G can be launched in three different storage variants in the Indian market. The starting price of the base variant 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is expected to be ₹ 8,999. Apart from this, the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant can come at a possible price of ₹ 9,999 and the top-end 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant can be priced at ₹ 10,999. If the leaked report proves to be true, then this phone will directly give tough competition to other budget 5G handsets present in the market.

Equipped with 6000mAh large battery and 50MP AI camera

Talking about hardware features, the company has taken special care of power backup in this phone. A large 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support is provided inside the device, which will provide long backup to users in the budget segment. Apart from this, a rectangular camera island has been provided on its rear panel for photography, which includes a 50-megapixel main AI sensor and a secondary lens. It has been revealed that there will be an 8-megapixel camera at the front for selfies and video calling.

It is clear from the teaser image that the phone has a flat dual-tone back panel, at the bottom of which HMD branding is present. This handset can be made available in three colors – Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue and Peach Pink. Talking about the display, it can get a 6.75-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel, which will support 120Hz refresh rate. For better processing, this budget phone is likely to have Unisoc T8200 5G chipset. It has been given an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes and the 3.5mm headphone jack has also been retained in it.
