Honda XR300L design and engine
Honda XR300L has been designed as an off-road motorcycle. It gets beak-shaped fenders, slim profile and upwardly raised exhaust. The bike has a 293.5cc air-and-oil-cooled engine.
The company has not yet updated the power and torque figures of the bike on its website. However, the same engine as Honda CB300F has been used in it, so it is expected to give power of around 24.5bhp and torque of 25.9Nm. These figures will be updated after they are officially revealed.
Special features for off-roading
Honda XR300L has long-travel suspension both front and rear. The bike gets 21-inch front and 18-inch spoke wheels. For braking, disc brakes are provided on both the wheels, as well as dual-channel ABS is available.
Keeping in mind off-road riding, there is an option to turn off ABS intervention on the rear wheel of the bike. This allows the rider to slide in a controlled manner. Traction control system is also provided in the bike.
There will be competition with these bikes
Priced at Rs 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Honda XR300L will compete with bikes like the Hero XPulse 210 and Kawasaki KLX230.
