Honda ZR V Hybrid Launch Date In India: The premium SUV segment in the Indian automobile market is about to be shaken up. Veteran automaker Honda is all set to launch its new and extremely powerful Honda ZR-V Hybrid in India.
The company is introducing this model to expand its premium SUV range, which has been a topic of discussion in the auto industry for some time. According to reports, Honda may officially reveal the car’s pricing as early as July 2026.
Tough competition in the premium segment
The Honda ZR-V Hybrid will be brought to India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), meaning it will be completely imported from abroad. Being a CBU model, its availability is likely to be limited in the market. Pricing is expected to range between ₹40 lakh and ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom).
With this premium price, it will compete with the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian already in the Indian market. Honda is aiming to attract customers who want a balance of luxury, technology, and excellent fuel efficiency.
Unmatched mileage of hybrid engine
This SUV’s biggest strength is its 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine, paired with dual-motor strong hybrid technology. This powerful setup is capable of generating 184 bhp and 315 Nm of torque.
This car is for speed lovers.
The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds and has a top speed of 172 km/h. The most impressive aspect is its fuel efficiency. The company claims that this hybrid system will deliver a fuel efficiency of around 23 km/l, making it quite economical for long distances.
The Honda ZR-V’s interior is no less than that of a luxury car and features a modern design. It includes several high-tech features to provide customers with a luxurious experience:
- Display: 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver.
- Connectivity: Wireless charging with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- Sound: For music lovers, a powerful 12-speaker Bose audio system has been installed.
- Other features: Dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting and powered front seats.
impenetrable shield of protection
Honda has equipped the car with state-of-the-art safety technology. It features Level-2 ADAS, which significantly enhances safety. Additionally, the car features eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, and TPMS.
The 2,655mm wheelbase provides ample legroom, and with the rear seats folded down, a generous 1,313 liters of boot space is available. Bookings for the car have already begun, and deliveries will begin shortly after launch.
