Britain’s maritime security agency UKMTO said a ‘missile’ hit an oil tanker in the Hormuz Strait on Saturday. What exactly that was, though, is unclear. Then the tanker caught fire. But according to another British maritime safety agency, there were no casualties in the incident. All sailors are safe. However, the ship suffered some damage. It is known that the tanker is the flag carrier of Panama.
It is to be noted that America and Iran sat in a peace meeting in Switzerland mediated by Pakistan and Qatar. A few days ago, Iran and America signed an MoU to bring permanent peace to West Asia. But the two sides are faced with the implementation and review of the 14-point conditions of the MoU. But due to threats from US President Donald Trump, Iran left the meeting midway. But the meeting was not a complete failure. The two countries agreed on the 60-day roadmap for the final agreement. But within a few days, the two countries clashed again.
