The Charlotte Hornets entered the 2026-27 season with plenty of questions surrounding their roster, especially following the trades of LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges.
However, through the first three games, Charlotte’s offseason acquisitions have provided plenty of reasons for optimism, making an immediate impact and showing that the Hornets may have found the right pieces to take a step forward this season.
Charlotte’s offseason moves have been stellar through three games
Charlotte is off to a 2-1 start this season, and a major reason for that has been its offseason acquisitions of Naz Reid, Grayson Allen and Dennis Schroder.
Reid is averaging 20 points and 8.7 rebounds per game and made franchise history in his very first game with the organization. Allen has scored 20-plus points in two of the three games and is shooting 50 percent from three-point range.
Schroder is filling up the stat sheet, averaging 16 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. Each of the three has been ultra-productive and is a major reason for Charlotte’s early season success.
